Understanding Over 65 Travel Insurance
Traveling the world is a very tempting prospect, even to seniors and to people over 65 years of age. One advantage of being retired is the ability to freely explore the world, but seniors often find it difficult to find good travel insurances if they have reached a certain age. A vacation to somewhere else in the world is fun and worthwhile, provided that no health concerns or emergencies interrupt it. Over 65 travel insurance ensures traveling seniors the safety they need and deserve while enjoying their much needed vacations.
Over 65 travel insurance is an insurance policy for men and women of senior age who want to be secured from possible financial risks while traveling. It covers the problems of lost luggage, cancellations, and even medical treatments while on the holiday. Not to mention the stress one experiences due to such problems.
In the past, people 50 years of age and older were not accepted to apply for travel insurances. An elderly lucky enough to be granted one had to pay a large sum even if the insurance did not offer all benefits he is supposed to have. But due to recent increases in the number of traveling seniors, insurance companies and travel agencies came up with better insurances for senior travelers. They now have offerings like over 65 travel insurance and the benefits are also not limited. Seniors in their 60s can enjoy both a single-trip policy and a multi-trip one, since 65 years of age is still an acceptable age in companies' age limits for such policies.
Over 65 travel insurance is readily available in travel agencies, insurance companies and in their respective websites. Age should not hinder even an old person from the trip of his dreams. The retirement years should be spent well and that means going to places that will give one more appreciation of life.
They can now travel safely during their retirement, assured that they can easily attain travel insurances.

Another amazing experience is found in a KwaZulu Natal game reserve called Phinda. These 'farm stays' are found all over South Africa from the Drakensberg Mountains to the Great Karoo as well as the popular Garden Route and Winelands of the Western Cape.
Beach accommodation offers anything from relaxed and comfortable to luxury and exclusivity - the choice is yours. A good place to find accommodation close to the beach is renting a beach cottage. South Africa's coastline offers incredible diversity from remote villages to popular seaside town and city beaches. It is advised to book way in advance as these beach cottages fill up fast especially over the holiday seasons of April & December/January.
The 'old faithful' B&B (bed & breakfast) accommodation is still an all time favorite with more and more business travelers making use of this versatile and affordable option. It's high levels of customer service makes bed and breakfasts an excellent choice. More and more B&B owners cater for the sophisticated traveler that needs a reliable, affordable accommodation option. A new trend in the B&B circles is a 'boutique' feel with hip decorations and modern furnishings. This trend is blending studio living, boutique hotels and the B&B lifestyle to offer great options for both casual and business travelers.
Nowadays accommodation is more than just a bed and a place to have a meal. It's about what you feel like and how much you want to pay to experience it. The choice is there, just do a little homework and you'll find exactly what you're looking for.

Travel Auckland
With a population of around 1.4 million people, Auckland is the largest city in New Zealand. Surrounded by harbours on two sides, the 'city of sails' has plenty of attractions both on and off the water. As the metropolitan area is quite large and public transport options limited, however, a good Auckland city guide is essential to making the most of your time here.
Take a walk from Karangahape Road to Waitemata harbour down Queen St, the main road in the Auckland central business district. Highlights include the tallest building in the Southern Hemisphere (Sky Tower, 328m), the eating and drinking destinations of Viaduct Basin and the open air festivals and markets of Aotea Square.
Landmarks abound in the area, and any Auckland city guide should point out a few of them. One Tree Hill is a significant site for the people of Auckland (and the band U2 who wrote a song about it), while panoramic views abound from the top of Mount Eden, a dormant volcano. The large green space of Auckland Domain is also a great place to relax for an hour or two.
Tennis, rugby league, netball, cricket and rugby union are all well supported by the Auckland community, with the latter two being the most popular summer and winter sports respectively. With dedicated facilities for national and international teams, taking in a match is a definite option for any visitor to the city.
The Auckland Art Gallery is the city's major public gallery space, with a large collection of national and international works. Significant museums include the War Memorial Museum located in the Domain, and the National Maritime Museum, among several others.
Surfers, swimmers and sunbathers are all well catered for by Auckland's array of beaches. Family friendly spots included in nearly any Auckland city guide include Devonport, Mission Bay and Takapuna, while surfers head for the west coast - Muriwai and Piha are popular choices. For wineries, beautiful sand and a relaxed vibe (outside peak holiday periods, at least), regular ferries will take you across to Waiheke Island for a day trip or longer.
Check out the Auckland city guide at Indie Travel Podcast for even more information on what to see and do in Auckland, Zealand.
