An Article About Bellevue, Washington

Bellevue, was founded in 1869 and was later named the satellite city and also known to be an economic hub of the East side of Washington. Bellevue in french means 'beautiful view and once you've seen the city you know why.

Bellevue has a little bit of everything, from prodigious high-rises in the middle of the city to the peaceful suburban areas for those who want to get away from the energetic city life.

With a population of approximately 120,000 people living in 13 distinguished neighborhoods, Bellevue is proudly Washington's fifth largest city. It's growing in population as well, since many are flocking to the area after having heard so many great things about living there.

With each neighborhood differing in what it has to offer, the consistent preference of residents buying a home seems to be the location of recreational facilities. There are many parks and other recreational features offered here that offer a blend of both outdoor and indoor activities. This also makes it a great place to raise children since there's so much to do and enjoy.

Working hard to keep the city of Bellevue a harmonious place, they have made many accommodations available to the residents who place priority in the quality of living in the city.

While Bellevue's downtown may be a frantic style of life, the majority of the city still holds the feeling of being a small town and is know to consistently have some of the top ranked schools in the country.

With approximately 50,000 houses in the Bellevue city limits, there are still more demands for housing and rentals in the area thanks to the flourishing economy and well paying jobs in the area.

Even with housing prices rising due to demand, the still growing economy has made living in Bellevue still affordable for raising a family. If you're looking for a new city in the Northwestern part of the country, you may want to consider adding this to your list of possibilities.

The Pleasure Craft Can Be The Recreation Investment Of A Lifetime

Boating is a sport enjoyed by many young and old alike. There are not many things that can compare to enjoying a day on the water, boating, fishing, or skiing. A pleasure craft is an essential part of summer recreation for many people and suitable for the entire family. Boating doesn't necessarily require a tremendous investment as there are large and small water craft that can fit almost any budget and purpose.

While a yacht might be nice for open water and desired by many, the largest boat for leisure activities is not always the best suited for the particular sport or purpose. A small boat with a trolling motor is all that many avid fisherman want or need. The quiet motor and low hull allow them to get in close to the shore and fish without frightening their quarry away.

However, no matter the size of the boat or the purpose there are certain boating laws governing the operation of these craft. Most operators are required to have taken boating safety courses and to have a craft operator card. A boating license is required in most states and is a statement that the operator understands the rules and regulations governing the operation of their craft.

Boating has become increasingly more popular and with the increase in the number of boats on the waterways comes the necessity of responsible boating by operators. The operator of any craft must understand the laws and regulations governing their type of conveyance. There are multiple types of operator licenses but the pleasure craft boat license is the most common.

Boat safety is a serious issue and most operators of leisure craft know and obey safety laws and regulations. Boat licenses and competency courses assure that the operator is completely up to date on these applicable safety laws. It is important that the operator know which craft has the right of way, how many life vests are required and what the speed limit is in an area.

Boating laws are important to safety and the regulations may vary from closed lakes to sea going vessels. Classes which teach boat safety and give licenses are important so that the pleasure craft operator emerges knowing what rules govern their craft in almost any situation. The license is merely proof they have taken the classes and passed the competency tests.

People can invest many thousands of dollars in their recreation, this is particularly true of boats used for leisure and sports. They feel the investment is well worth it. However, as valuable as the dollars spent on the craft, is the time spent learning the boat laws and acquiring a boating license.

Whether a boater chooses to enjoy the water inland on quiet lakes or skiing, or elects for the open water and seaways the competent operator who knows the laws assures that the boat and the passengers arrive back on land safely. A boat license and the knowledge to operate the craft safely learned through boating course only makes sense when considering the human cargo boats carry.

Unleash your inner Magellan. Sort out a boat test and hit the high seas. Summer is here, get a validated boat license or operator card and set sail.

Identifying How Popular Horror Movies Can Enhance Halloween Fun

Throwing a Halloween party? Why not make it a night with themes from popular horror movies? For, with such themes, one can have a variety of superstars and villains attending, while opening the door to hand out candy, and sharing an evening of horrific fun.

So, whether one is more into action horror such as Jurassic Park which may be more appropriate for younger children, or the Omen, there are many ways in which children can also enjoy such a party. Of course, if one plans the party around horror movies such as the Nightmare on Elm Street, or more recent Saw movies, then one may want to assure that attendees are age appropriate for such material. Otherwise, one may have to spend more of the evening calming fears than enjoying one of the scariest nights of the year.

In addition, as one can often buy, rent or create some amazing costumes, one can pretty much attend as any horror figure one can envision or imagine. This is especially true with more popular horror figures in which most Halloween outlets and stores carry such costumes. Of course, one can also find a great many different options in relation to such characters through online outlets if and when necessary.

However, if one wants to have a more authentic version of such a costume, one may either wish to find a costumer to make such a costume, or look towards a costume rental house which often rent and sell such costumes to actors. For, often if one wants an authentic replication of a character in a film, one is going to find the closest likeness at such a shop.

Of course, there are some characters from horror movies which generate more fear than others. For example, Freddie from Nightmare on Elm Street may hold a more frightening presence than the Orphan. However, if one has seen both movies, then both can be perceived as extremely frightening and dangerous characters.

In addition, if one is gearing up to throw an authentic Halloween bash based on a specific horror film with specific characters, one may also have to hire the help of a costumer. For, while often the most popular characters are available in packaged costumes, not all characters from such movies are generally available. As such, at times one may have to combine such shopping to include obtaining costumes from creators, shops and rental companies.

As such, one can also plan some fun activities and games around such themes. For, with the films close at hand, one can even confirm the accuracy of costume garb and other factors. Of course, whether one plays such videos during the party, or simply identifies the best costume based on workmanship, often no Halloween party is complete without such a contest.

To this end, if one wants to have one of the best Halloween parties ever, one may want to consider using themes from popular horror movies. For, in doing so, one can have a great many ghosts, ghouls and goblins along with characters who can potentially scare the sheets right off those ghostly apparitions.

Trying to find your favorite horror movies? Then visit Frightflicks.com, offering all of the most popular scary movies including horror movies, zombie movies and vampire movies.

Want To See Museums In Your Tour Of Rome? Here Are 8 Musts!

Museo Nazionale Romano - Crypta Balbi (Roman National Museum - Crypta Balbi). Opened only a few years ago, this museum is particularly impressive because it provides a reconstruction of the general background as well as the daily life of the ancient Romans. It is divided in three sections and each contributes to the general picture with archaeological findings of all kinds and with plastic models of dwellings and other structures. The whole exhibition covers a span of time down to the Middle Ages.

Musei Capitolini (Capitoline Museums). In all probability this is the oldest museum in the world since it came into being in 1471 when Pope Sixtus IV donated some ancient bronze statues to the people of Rome and had them placed on the Capitoline Hill. This was the beginning of what was to become an outstanding art collection to be housed in three buildings erected on top of the same Hill. In addition to the statues and other ancient works of art on show, the Museums are interesting also on account of the buildings themselves: they are generally considered excellent examples of the architectural styles and decorations prevailing at the time they were built.

Galleria Borghese (Borghese Gallery). Located inside the park by the same name, this is one of the most interesting museums in Rome. Its ground floor houses a collection of ancient statues and renowned sculptures by Bernini and Canova. Among the most celebrated of these works we might mention Bernini's Apollo and Daphne and Canova's Venus Victrix, representing Pauline Bonaparte. On the upper floor you will find famous paintings by Raphael, Titian, Botticelli, Caravaggio, Bernini, Canova and Rubens. Caravaggio's Boy with a Basket of Fruit, Titian's Sacred and Profane Love and Raphael's Entombment of Christ are only some of the masterpieces on show.

Museo della Civilta Romana (Museum of the Roman Civilization). It is difficult to imagine a museum that may encompass the whole span of Roman civilization from its very start up to the 4th century (in other words, the complete story of the rise and decline of Rome). Yet, this is exactly the period of time covered by the exhibits at this museum. Of its three sections, the first one shows all the main stages of Roman history, the second one concentrates on all major themes of historical, social and religious interest and the third contains a model of the city of Rome in the 4th century A.D. Among other interesting exhibits you will find horizontal casts of the reliefs of Trajan's Column.

Mercati di Traiano (Trajan's Markets). This is one of the best archaeological sites in Rome and probably in the world. Its peculiarity lies in the fact that the whole area of the Markets has been continuously used from its origins right up to our days, but for completely different purposes. It began as a market with additional administrative and social uses, then became, in turn, the residence of noble families, a fortress, a convent, military barracks. This open air museum intends to provide a cross-section of an administrative and commercial area as well as a life-like reconstruction of ordinary living in the city of Rome in Imperial times.

Museo di Roma in Trastevere (Museum of Rome in Trastevere). Opened just over 30 years ago, this museum is located in an old Roman suburb named Trastevere. This is no coincidence. A special effort was made to place the museum in an area that was in harmony with the subject covered by the permanent exhibition. The museum is intended to illustrate the life of ordinary people during the second part of the 18th century and the 19th century. The exhibits displayed, which include a number of paintings and prints, offer an unbelievably different picture of Rome from what you can see these days. One room houses a crib set in 18th century Trastevere and the figures dressed in period costume.

Museo di Roma (Museum of Rome). Founded in 1930, the purpose of the museum was twofold: to link the increasingly more forward-looking city of Rome with its past and to ensure that ample evidence of its past be collected and handed down to posterity. You will find that the collection of works of art, ceramics, costumes, paintings, photographs, furniture and even trains and carriages illustrates the significant changes that have marked the life of the city from the Middle Ages right up to half-way through the 20th century. Obviously, the paintings and sketches will provide an ongoing description of the changes that affected the architectural structure of the city itself as well as the surrounding countryside.

Museo Barracco (Barracco Museum). This museum is located in an elegant Renaissance palace that a high French church official built in 1523 as his living quarters during his frequent visits to Rome. After a history of sales by various owners and finally a purchase by the Italian Government in the late 19th century, it became the seat of the Museum after World War II. The Museum houses a rich collection of ancient sculptures (Assyrian, Egyptian, Phoenician, Etruscan, Greek and Roman). The Museum is named after a wealthy gentleman from Calabria who donated the collection to the Municipality of Rome.
