Paradise Is Not As Far Away As You Think
There are many areas that offer us great beaches and a toastier climate. But most of these, like Maui, the Caribbean or even Puerto Rico are merely too costly of a destination to be sensible in these days of economic hardship.
But thankfully, even if you are not in the possession of enough money to make it to Miami or Hawaii, there are tons of fantastic destinations on the pacific coast that will not only tickle your taste buds for sand, sun and surf, but will not likely burn too big a hole in your pocket. Southern California is a region that hosts a lot of the weather and scenery that most people search for all while keeping the comforts of a mainland state. Due to this advantageous location, there are several cities here that do not disappoint in the whole fantastic beach experience with all of the draws and attractions.
Try San Diego for example. A great American city with all the delightful coastline that encourages people to engage in water sports and experience beach culture within the country, and more importantly, all while fitting into the average American's budget. You get the tropical paradise setting of Hawaii, or the party on the shore experience of Ibiza, without even leaving the country. San Diego is home not only to wonderful beaches but also to many other entertainment parks and establishments. You can check out Balboa Park or even the thrills of Belmont amusement park. See the wildlife in San Diego Zoo and San Diego Wild Animal Park or spend a day at the famous Sea World in San Diego. There are a lot of things to do here in a unique mix of activities you wouldn't find in a typical beach setting. Imagine, you get the beach experience that so many desire while still maintaining access to other forms of entertainment all in one city.
