Discover The Best Gold Coast Accommodation Deals, Money-Off Vouchers, Free Transfers
Some of the best Gold Coast accommodation deals include extras such as free airport transfers and free booklets of discount vouchers for local attractions and shops. Airport transfers will cover transfer from Coolangatta airport (which is on the New South Wales border, at the coast's extreme southern end) and all registered accommodation in the resort. Often the best packages are not available direct from the hotel or accommodation, but only via Australia/New Zealand specialist hotel booking websites.
One example of a bonus voucher deal can be found when booking at the Paradise Isles Hotel. This is in Chevron Island, not far from the busiest resort on the coast, Surfers Paradise.
Paradise Isles has one bedroom apartments in a low rise complex with swimming pool, heated spa, barbecue area and internet kiosk. All rooms have TV, internet, air conditioning, en-suite bathroom, and kitchen with both microwave and conventional oven. Laundry facilities include washing machine and dryer, and ironing board.
When booking more then two nights at Paradise Island via Discover Australia Holidays, the guest will receive a bonus voucher book. This gives discounts at many popular restaurants, shops and attractions in Queensland.
The Paradise Isles is at 40-46 Burra Street, on Chevron Island. This is between Southport and Surfers Paradise, just off the Gold Coast Highway. The busy centre of Surfers (the Cavill Avenue area has the best shopping and nightlife) is just a short distance from Chevron Island, as is Surfers' Main Beach.
The accommodation is also convenient for Jupiter's Casino and shows, and the Centro Shopping Centre. One of the region's excellent theme parks, Sea World, is in nearby Southport. Other major theme parks (Warner Brothers' Movie World and Wet'n'Wild Water World) are not far along the Gold Coast Highway in Oxenford. Visitors who do not have their own transport in Gold Coast will find regular bus services from Surfside Buslines.
Surfside Buslines also run theme park transfers (shuttles) and airport transfers. Guests will be picked up or dropped off from any registered accommodation in the region. Airport shuttles serve Coolangatta airport, which is on the New South Wales/Queensland border, at the southern extremity of the resort.
Airport transfers are included in some hotel package deals. Free airport transfers usually should be booked at the same time as making the hotel booking. In other cases airport transfers can be booked on arrival at Coolangatta airport, or advance bookings can be made online or through a travel agent.
The Gold Coast is the area of Queensland to the south of the capital city, Brisbane. The 60 kilometre stretch of coastline has many fine surfing beaches. The area has a sunny, sub-tropical climate. As well as spending time on the beach, or in the surf, many other activities are possible. The area has a great number of golf courses, and boasts national level sports teams in football (soccer), rugby league, basketball and ice hockey.
The area inland from the main coastal resorts is a scenically attractive area, with rolling hills and mountains, covered by tropical rain forests. There are several of Australia's most loved national parks in the region, including Lamington National Park.
