More To Majorca Than Just Magaluf!
There are many reasons why Majorca boasts one of the strongest and busiest tourist trades in Europe and we're going to look at four of those reasons here. For singles, a couple or a family, Majorca has something to offer. British holidaymakers have enjoyed a strong relationship with Majorca's tourist trade over the years as they just can't seem to stop going back. Knowing which resort to visit does depend very much on the type of holiday you are looking for, however.
Magaluf
Magaluf is the popular resort in Majorca. A night here is full of fun with its thriving bars and nightclubs seeing thousands of tourists in and out of its doors each and every year. With the array of amenities thrown in for good measure, you begin to get an idea of why this resort is so popular. The beach, lying along the shallow waters, is perfect for the lazy holidaymaker. Alternatively, there is the opportunity to join in activities such as water sports.
Palma Nova
Similar to Magaluf in some respects but not as tourist-friendly as there are less hotels in the area. In contrast, it remains popular with the British holidaymaker thanks in no small part to the number of English-style pubs. The Summer is a more active time of the year for Palma Nova with water sports and glass bottom boat trips available as well as other activities. The promenade sees a seemingly endless array of shops, bars and restaurants.
Alcudia
Alcudia is a resort which caters to all kinds of holidaymaker. There is plenty to do for the active in mind such as water park fun at Hidro Park. There is also plenty of water sports available to try at the beach. For the less energetic holidaymaker, there is a wetland nature reserve to explore or the town itself boasting plenty of charming history. Night-life is showcased along the port as well as plenty of other entertainment found throughout Alcudia.
C'an Picafort
C'an Picafort is a thriving resort yet with a relaxed atmosphere suitable for both couples and families alike. The beach has plenty of water sports on offer and there is a nice choice of bars and restaurants over at the promenade.
